For many of the staff and residents at St Theresa's Home, the day begins with Eucharistic Celebration in the St Theresa's Chapel at 7.30am. This is followed by breakfast and a range of activities, depending on their health, degree of mobility, interests and preferences. These include:
  • Group and individual therapy

  • Handicraft

  • Occupational Therapy activities such as draughts, mahjong, dominoes, bingo and jig-saw puzzles

  • Helping out in the laundry, kitchen and garden, and minding the Gift Shop
Many of these are done with the support of a volunteer or a member of staff.

In addition, the Home celebrates its residents' birthdays and holidays with volunteers even going to the point of rehearsing songs and dances specially for the occasion.

There are also group outings to MacRitchie Reservoir and places of interest with the help of volunteers and corporate sponsors.
